Pricing

We typically break custom web development projects into four tiers.

1. Small, Static Brochure Sites: $2-5k
   These are the smallest, simplest sites that we build. Factors that influence cost are as follows: number of layouts/templates, data entry forms, animations/drop-downs, content (you inserting via the CMS vs. us inserting it), etc.
2. Slightly-Complex Sites: $5-10k
   Projects that fall into this category usually have a simple database backend that features basic reporting and administrative capabilities.
3. Complex Websites: $10-30k
   These projects feature more complex databases, frameworks, web services, and big admin tools with lots of reporting and complex functionality; typically, they take a month or two to build.
4. Web/Software Apps: $30k+
   Due to the complex nature of these types of projects, we'll do an initial scoping phase. During this phase we get into the down-and-dirty of what needs to be done and create documentation and architectural diagrams for use during the remainder of the project. Depending on your project we may propose a traditional software development process or an agile process. Either way we'll identify a schedule, process, costs, and timeline.

How to Get Started

1. Contact us to request an estimate.
   The more detailed your information, the more detailed will be our response. If you only provide a few bullet points, we'll only give you a broad price range. Note that we ask for your budget for a reason. You hate providing it and we hate when you don't. If you have a $5k budget, tell us at the outset so that we can tell you you're crazy when you say you want to build something "similar to Amazon" for that price. We work with clients within Utah, throughout the U.S., and around the world.
2. Review our estimate.
   After reviewing your project questionnaire and additional documentation, we'll send you an estimate which includes both price and timeline. The estimate reflects our understanding of your needs as well as our recommendations for the best way to meet them.
3. Approve the estimate.
   Assuming you're good to go, we'll have you sign the estimate for approval and make a payment of one-half the approved amount.
4. Sit tight.
   We don't miss deadlines. Go watch some YouTube or play with your iPhone. We'll deliver as promised.
5. Bring us another project.
   Assuming you're happy and we're happy, let's do another project together.
