Simple, Static Brochure Sites
The smallest, simplest sites that we program are typically going to cost somewhere between $2,000 and $4,000 to program. Factors that influence cost are as follows: number of layouts/templates, data entry forms, animations/drop-downs, content (you inserting via the CMS vs. us inserting it) etc.
If you have a target budget in mind, we usually have some suggestions for keeping your project within that budget.
Slightly-Complex Websites
If your client needs a website with some additional functionality (beyond a basic brochure-type site) you can plan on spending $4,000-$10,000 to get it developed. Projects that fall into this category usually have some degree of database backend that features basic reporting and administrative capabilities.
Complex Websites
When the backend portion of a website gets pretty sophisticated, your project will end up costing $10,000-30,000. These projects feature databases, frameworks, web services, and big admin tools with lots of reporting and complex functionality; they also usually take a month or two to build.
Web Software/Applications
Although we have great attention to detail with front-end stuff like programming your design file and making it look pixel perfect, one of our greatest strengths is in our ability to architect and build complex web applications. Our programmers are fluent in many programming languages and have excellent OO programming, database, JavaScript, AJAX, and Flash-integration skills.
Due to the complex nature of these types of projects, we prefer to do an initial scoping phase. During this phase we get into the down-and-dirty of what needs to be done and create documentation and architectural diagrams for use during the remainder of the project.
Depending on your project we may propose a traditional software development process or an agile process. Either way we'll identify a schedule, process, costs, and timeline. These projects are typically $30,000+.
